Hansmeyerhof - Exterior

Would you like to experience what it used to be like on the Buchenbach farm? How the people coped with work on the land and in the house? Or would you like to try your hand at former country crafts? Then visit the Hansmeyerhof in Buchenbach-Wagensteig and the special events in this Black Forest farmhouse!

Visits are possible anytime after arrangement with the community administration office. Tradition, style of living and working will also be show by video presentations. Special events with demonstrations of the work on the land and in the house and the old craftwork allow the guests the practice these early tasks.

A tour lasts approx. 1 1/2 hours.

Opening times / Tours:
Tours take place regularly on Wednesdays at 16:00 and Sundays at 10:30 from 4th May 2008.

A reservation must be made in advance for larger groups, in order to avoid a „stampede“ of disappointed guests. Please contact the Tourist Info in the town hall in person or by telephone (Tel.: 07661 3965 40). Additional appointments can also be agreed in advance.
The tour lasts approx. 1 1/2 hours..

Arrival:
Drive along the A5 until the exit Freiburg Mitte. Then take the B31 in the direction of Donaueschingen to Buchenbach.
Or take the A81 to Donaueschingen and then the B31 (towards Freiburg) to Buchenbach.

In Buchenbach-Himmelreich turn onto the L128 towards St Märgen. After 1.2km after leaving Buchenbach turn right into the Griesdobelstraße (opposite the Dold timber factory).
After approx. 100m you will find the Hansmeyerhof on the right-hand side.
