Arrival

By car

Via the A5 until the Freiburg Mitte exit. Then follow the B31 in the direction of Donaueschingen until you reach Kirchzarten. Or via the A81 to Donaueschingen and from there take the B31 to Kirchzarten. The Stegen, Buchenbach and Oberried communities are marked on the road signs.

By train

There is a Deutsche Bahn (train) networkconnection to Kirchzarten, direct into the centre of the Dreisamtal. From here and from Himmelreich train station, buses run regularly to the other Dreisamtal communities.

By plane

The closest airport is the Euro-Airport Basel-Mulhouse. A shuttle bus runs from here to Freiburg. From Freiburg to Kirchzarten there buses or the Höllentalbahn can be used.
